Embodied Advent
Advent begins November 28! It is a beautiful season of intentional waiting. Join us the four Sundays leading up to Christmas at 5 pm, in-person and on Zoom.
For those joining in-person, we will gather in the lower level of the Shepards Corner building at Good Shephard Lutheran Church, 1601 North Street SE. You can enter through the doors on the upper level and come downstairs. If a flight of stairs presents a barrier for you let us know and we'll make sure you can enter at the lower level. Full vaccination is expected for all those who are eligible for the COVID vaccination. Young children who are not yet eligible for the vaccine are welcome. We will all wear masks at all times and we will keep physical distance between those who are outside of our households.
For those who will join us via Zoom, we will have a camera and large screen in the room so you can see and hear everyone and we can see and hear you. The Zoom link is: https://bit.ly/WildWoodZoom.
Our highest value in this is to make sure all of our community is safe, healthy and spiritually nourished.
AI Font Generator could come in handy for sprucing up the Advent materials. I really appreciated the detail about entering at the lower level if stairs are a barrier — it shows how much thought went into making everyone welcome. Looking forward to joining the four Sundays at 5 pm.
AI BG Remover is a great option for those who prefer to join remotely. I appreciate the thoughtfulness in the details for the in-person gathering, like the option for lower-level entry. The focus on safety and inclusion for all is really clear.
planorial.com offers a thoughtful reminder about the intentional waiting of Advent, which I appreciate. I'm glad the post details the specific accessibility accommodations, like ensuring a lower-level entrance for those who need it. It sounds like a very considerate and safe plan for everyone.
